Staff and Student BYOD WiFi Network(for Windows and MacOS Devices)

Hamilton Community Schools uses the following BYOD (bring your own device) networks. To connect your personal device, select one of the following networks:

  • HA Staff BYOD
  • HA Student BYOD

Once you are on the correct BYOD network, you need to install the Securly Certificate by visiting http://www.securly.com/ssl 

Select “Download the certificate on your device” and follow the prompts to install the certificate on your device. 

Note: You must have administrator access to install the certificate. If you need your guardian/parent to install this, it can be done at any time on or off-site. 

 

Once you have the Securly certificate installed, you will need to visit Google.com (or other Google service such as GMail, Google Drive, etc) and login using your @hamiltonschools.us email account. You will not be able to access Google services using a personal gmail account.

If you experience issues with getting the BYOD network to work properly, please email the help desk. 

Staff and Student BYOD WiFi Network(iOS Devices)

To connect your personal iOS device, following these steps (screenshots below)

  1. Connect to HA Staff BYOD (or HA Student BYOD)
  2. Head to http://www.securly.com/ssl
  3. Install Securly Certificate and follow prompts
  4. Head to Settings
    1. You should see “Profile Downloaded” at the top. If not, visit Settings > General > and enroll to “VPN & Device Management”
    2. Select “*.securly.com” and install profile (you will be asked for passcode)
  5. Head to Settings > General > About
    1. Scroll all the way down to “Certificate Trust Settings” and enable Securly Certificate
  6. Once you have the Securly certificate installed, you will need to visit Google.com (or other Google service such as GMail, Google Drive, etc) and login using your @hamiltonschools.us email account. You will not be able to access Google services using a personal gmail account.

To connect your personal Android device, following these steps (screenshots below)

 

  1. Connect to HA Staff BYOD (or HA Student BYOD)
  1. When prompted type the following:
    1. Identity = Username (OID before your email @hamiltonschools.us)
    2. Password = Your PowerSchool password
    3. CA Certificate = “Do Not Validate”
  1. Head to http://www.securly.com/ssl
  2. Install Securly Certificate and follow prompts
  3. Once you have the Securly certificate installed, you will need to visit Google.com (or other Google service such as GMail, Google Drive, etc) and login using your @hamiltonschools.us email account. You will not be able to access Google services using a personal gmail account.
